What is Your Favorite Thing of RoE?
So I am curious.
What is your very favourite thing of RoE? For me, it it FitzChivalry. I love him A lot <.<' Also, I like it for all the philosophical and moral problem it poses, that you all have heard about What about you? I've never seen the Icarus story as a lesson about the limitations of humans.
I see it as a lesson about the limitations of wax. “What else should you be? Human beings didn't evolve brains in order to lie around on lakes. Killing's the first thing we learned. And a good thing we did, or we'd be dead, and the tigers would own the earth.” ― Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game |

I have to think about it. Seriously.
Maybe the tie between Fitz and the Fool. I'd like to have one of my own. Is this a reasonable answer? |

Yep, it's right.
For me... okay, it's the Fool. But I mean aside from him... I suppose it's little details. The way the dragons Rain Wilds Chronicles [leggi] |

Yep. Or even when the characters start out NOT knowing all the laws, they discover them all during the course of the story. Like in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn books. There's some confusion initially about Allomancy, but in the end the rules turn out to be very definite and easily defined. Mind you, the books are amazing and I think Brandon Sanderson's magic systems are one of the best features of his books, but still, the wonder and discovery aren't there in the same way.

However, the lack of understanding of the basic system of the World gives way to perception of it that could easily be defined as dystopic, if you think of it. My whole less-than-complimentary analysis of the White Prophets' worldview are a direct results of our lack of knowledge (and this is why they could be true).
