Project Cute 1: Plushie Fool!Doll

So!

As I mentioned elsewhere, I had been thinking on making a plushie doll of our Beloved Fool.


This is not an one-woman project, though. As I have the artistic ability of your avarage mushroom, the whole idea would never dawn on me alone.
Nope, it is a joint project between me and Laurelle, a friend of mine that I meet in DeviantArt several months ago. We started debating about the Realms of the Elderlings (much of the debate I made here had begun in talking with her) and we are still debating now.
She is a great artist and a very smart, logical person.

So, I mentioned to her I would have loved to make a plushie doll of the Fool, but I couldn't make the pattern. She took the project and so it begun!

Now, she made some very cute sketches of the Fool that I cannot find anymore >.<' Perhaps she will chime in and link them to us


We decided to use a very light pink cotton for the Fool's Doll. From our calculation, it should be 30 cm/1 foot tall. The hair will be white silk and the mottley will be black-and-white satin. With bells. The doll will have a skeleton in wire to be able to bend.

Sadly I haven't yet been able to find the correct shade of pink, since simple haberdasher's shops don't have it (they have either very bright pink or white). This sathurday I'll go to search for the 2 meters necessary to make the three dolls.

This is just the beginning. The COMPLETE Project involves:
1. Fool's Doll
2. Child!Fitz Doll

3. Amber/Lord Golden Doll (same doll, differnt accessories)

4. Adult!Fitz Doll
All of those will be in 3 copies: one for me, one for Laurelle and one will be sent to Robin Hobb herself! We think she may like it
If Laurelle will allow it, I have also thought of doing one or two as a giveway in the forum. Because I love you all guys


Aren't we the coolest ever?
Soon I'll post the cut pattern and all the work I have done, step-by-step!

Maybe. But Fitz would never be caught with a doll. It's Beloved with a Fitz doll that's making me melt.

I forgot about the tattoo design! I'll have to upload that really quick.
